影片是以马国权个人生活及经历为内容，以影像传记形式拍摄完成的一部纪录片。重点描绘马国权在神经残疾的状态下所面临的家庭生活及个人思维。与此同时，连带描绘中国北方县城的景观现状，如城镇改造背景下所产生的大面积建筑工地，当地人作为精神寄托的多样的宗教生活等。

This is a biographical film of Ma Guoquan, recording his family life and personal thoughts when he suffered from mental deficiency. The film reveals the counties’ spectacle in north China in 2010s, with the ubiquitous construction sites that had developed under the “region urbanization policy” and the emergence of religions that had come to serve as a mental sustenance for locals.
